Locating experienced physicians, who are providing evaluations and performing the Ertl Osteomyoplastic Amputation and Reconstruction Procedure, are being added daily to the Ertl Physician link and grouped by state and country, where they are located.
They are listed as Ertl amputation specialists, as are Ertl Limb Prosthetist Providers, after strict review by the Barr Foundation, so travel for an evaluation and treatment should not be an issue for what could be a life saving event and to better achieve positive prosthetic rehabilitation outcomes.
The Ertl Procedure maybe appropriate for all levels of amputations, both as a primary and as a reconstructive procedure. If you or your surgeon would like to become more educated in regard to the benefits of performing and recieving the procedure, a Ertl Introductory CD (TRT 36 min) and Ertl Surgical DVD / CD and VHS video (TRT 67min) , The Ertl Procedure: Beyond the Bridge ), is available for a tax deductible donation.
It can be acquired on line at www.ErtlReconstruction.com and on the Barr Foundation's web site www.oandp.com/barr or call 561-394-6514. A tax deductible receipt will be provided for your donation.
Many physicians, prosthetists and Ertl recipients/patients have reported back that their surgeons have been able to correctly perform the procedure after reviewing the surgical video version. Dr. Jan Ertl and Dr.William Ertl, as well as most of the physicians listed, can provide evaluations and additional information to you and your surgeons and prosthetists.
Please be sure to also provide your physician with the 'suggested' Ertl Procedure Surgerical Reimbursement Codes, also available on this web site. These however, are only 'suggested' codes which the Barr Foundation consolidated and which we are suggesting as possibilities for review. The responsibility for accurate coding lies with the patient care facility and surgeon (office manager) to confirm the codes for their own use prior to submitting appropriate billing paperwork. These recommendations are open to revision and are provided as a starting point for research/determination of codes to use. They are also subject to changes to the alpha-numeric system.
Keep checking the ErtlReconstruction.com web site for more Ertl physician and prosthetist resources and other valuable information.
